1. General information
The main goal of the subject is to develop the students' musical perception and expression and their adaptation to the Primary Education at school, with respect to pedagogical aspects and teaching-learning processes. It is the first contact of the students with the pedagogical dimension of musical activities and with the contents of music education at school. These approaches and goals are aligned with SDGs 4, 5, 10, 12, 16 and 17, such that the acquisition of the subject learning results provides training and competence to contribute to some extent to their achievement. We will work with resources that promote integration, inclusion, equity and gender equality, both in university classes and in all musical, vocal, motor and instrumental activities. It requires attendance and a high level of involvement and participation from a practical, critical and reflective perspective.
2. Learning results
In order to pass this subject, the students shall demonstrate they has acquired the following results:
1. Attains basic musical knowledge for a correct and adequate musical interpretation of simple songs.
2. Develops and defends a theoretical-practical work using music as a vehicular instrument in primary education.
3. Obtains the necessary resources to integrate music in elementary education.
3. Syllabus
1. Influence of music in the Primary Education stage.
2. Active methodologies of music education and its application to Primary Education. (Dalcroze, Orff, Willems, Kodàly, among others).
3. Musical perception and expression. Auditory training. Vocal training. Rhythmic training, psychomotor skills, movement and dance. Instrumental training. Musical language.
4. Materials and resources for teaching music in Primary Education. Repertoire of songs. Repertoire of auditions.
5.Musical styles over time through active music listening. Perception of structure through movement.
Instrument families and instrumental groupings. The human voice and its classification.
4. Academic activities
The methodology will be eminently active, experiential, dialogical, creative, meaningful, critical and reflective, with activities based on problems or projects, case studies, etc.
The course will be developed from the thematic cores, giving them an integrating character. Work will be carried out both in group and individually and autonomously.
The support of the virtual platform (ADD or Moddle) and GoogleDrive can be used by faculty and students as a way to access information, documentation and materials.

5. Assessment system
1.- For students who follow the regular class attendance model, the evaluation will be continuous and formative. The final grade will be the sum of:
1.1.- 70% of the grade corresponding to:
15%: Music Project for Primary Education,
25%; Theoretical-practical exercises of the subject related to the training
of musical language and its didactic application,
20% musical repertoire
10% Rhythmic reading
1.2.- 30% of the grade corresponding to the theoretical and practical exercises of the
and applied didactics of the teaching and training of the
auditions
Students who have attended 85% of the sessions and have submitted all the required assignments within the established deadline are entitled to continuous evaluation.
2.- For students who do not follow the regular class attendance model, a comprehensive test will be administered consisting of in:
2.1.- 50% Written test on the contents of the subject
2.2.- 30% Correct interpretation of a musical repertoire.
2.3.- 20% Rhythmic Reading
3.- Global test, second and subsequent summons, will be the same as that of students who do not use the model of regular class attendance.
Students in the 5th and 6th call will be evaluated with the same evaluation system as the rest of the students, but their evaluation will be carried out by an examining board.
In each case, the student must achieve in each of the sections a minimum of 5 points out of 10 in order to pass the subject.
Assessment criteria in all cases:
a) Rhythmic, melodic and expressive precision, corporal, vocal or instrumental, of the musical interpretations.
b) Mastery of the musical repertoire of the proposed works.
c) Mastery of the theoretical and practical contents of the subject.
d) Design, development and evaluation of musical didactic processes.
Finally, it must be taken into account that the Regulations of the Rules of Coexistence of the University of Zaragoza will be applicable to irregularities committed in the evaluation tests through academic fraud, as well as the application of article 30 of the Regulations of the Rules of Evaluation of Learning in relation to irregular practices other than academic fraud.
